One of the university-level courses I teach is Neuroanatomy and Behavior (text I use). In understanding and the provisional instruction on the subject, we start with the field’s history. Once there was a common method designed to address the treatment of maladaptive problem behavior in humans which is no longer employed called the Lobotomy.
