Circle Around the Zero.

Mayor Pete is a perfect example of the pathetic pool of candidates the Democrat Party has on its bench. He talks like Obama in that he thinks what he says is so smart when in fact it is not.

From ages 10 to 12, I attended Lutheran Summer camps outside of Memphis at Shelby Forest State Park. It is now called Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, and I had a ball. It is where I got my first lifeguard certification from the Red Cross. My female cousin, who was from Altadena, California, took it all in. Each night, all the campers would eat together and afterwards sing songs. The basics: B-I-N-G-O, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt, and several others. My favorite was "Circle 'Round the Zero."

It is a traditional American children's playground and circle-game song rather than a commercial popular song. From my readings, it originated in the United States and has roots in African American children's folk traditions from New England, from children singing and playing it during the 1960s.

The song accompanies a game. Children form a circle while one player walks around the outside. During the lyrics, the moving player chooses a partner and performs a series of motions, standing back-to-back, side-to-side, and face-to-face—before swinging or tapping the chosen child. The selected player then becomes the next leader, and the game repeats. We sang the song without playing the game at Lutheran camp. Most of us didn’t know the song came with a game.

Now, when I think of Circle Around the Zero, in addition to fond childhood memories, I think of Pete Buttigieg. Not for anything sentimental, but regarding his level of support from the black community - ZERO, albeit some progressive-leaning media outlets claimed that he had around 1–6% support among black voters in South Carolina, for example.

Nonetheless, some elite limousine and passionate virtue signaling latte liberals have gotten the amazingly brilliant idea that Pete Buttigieg could be the best person to win the Democrats the Presidential election in 2028. This boggles my mind. It is as if they have not acknowledged the elephant in the room - even black democrats won’t vote for the man. Limited support among black voters was one of the major weaknesses of Buttigieg’s 2020 campaign, and it remains his Achilles' heel today.

His inability to build a broad coalition among black voters hinders his prospects for any effort to become President. His tenure as mayor of South Bend started it all. One of the earliest and most controversial episodes involved Darryl Boykins, the city's first Black police chief. Buttigieg requested Boykins' resignation and later demoted him.

Boykins was under federal investigation regarding the alleged illegal recording of police phone calls. Recordings that proved white police officers made racist remarks, derogatory comments toward Boykins, and discussions that some believed revealed misconduct. Not only black, but white citizens were upset because they believed racist law enforcement officers were unacceptable (regardless of race, everybody despises bad police officers).

There was a major lack of diversity in the police department. Although South Bend’s population was roughly one-quarter black, the police department remained overwhelmingly white. Reports during Buttigieg’s presidential campaign noted that around 88–90% of officers were white, that recruitment and retention of minority officers had worsened during his tenure, and several classes of recruits were entirely white. Buttigieg had eight years to change the department’s demographics, but he didn’t, and this lack of representation affected the trust between police and minority communities.

There was also the controversy involving the shooting death of Eric Jack Logan, a 54-year-old Black resident. Sgt. Ryan O’Neill, a white officer, fatally shot Logan while investigating reports of vehicle break-ins. The officer’s body camera was not activated, leaving no video record of the encounter.

Last, there was his approach to economic development. Some critics argued that downtown revitalization disproportionately benefited wealthier and white neighborhoods, and that poorer Black neighborhoods experienced fewer gains.

Many in the black community knew about these happenings in South Bend before the corporate media, one reason national surveys generally showed Buttigieg receiving low single-digit support among Black Democratic voters.

On paper, dude is legit. He was born in South Bend and is the son of college professors. He is also a former naval intelligence officer and graduated from Harvard University with a degree in history and literature and later studied at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. He worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company before entering public service.

From 2012 to 2020, Buttigieg served as mayor of South Bend. During his tenure, he also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 as an intelligence officer. In 2019, Buttigieg launched a campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2020 election. He won the Iowa caucuses, being the first openly gay candidate to win delegates in a major-party presidential primary contest. President Joe Biden appointed Buttigieg as U.S. Secretary of Transportation.

So I ask, why Pete? Pete did zero under Biden except for taking maternity leave. I hate to be superficial, but come on. Who could take Pete Buttigieg seriously? Also, he was a disaster as transportation secretary; he didn’t do anything. This guy was a joke as transportation secretary. Knew nothing about transportation and still knows nothing; just talking points. And he is running on what? Packing the Supreme Court.

Democrats are telling us what they’re going to do with our Supreme Court, and Republicans sit on their hands. Democrats didn’t like the decisions coming from our Supreme Court, so their sought-after response is to destroy our entire system and put radicals in place. We can’t afford to let these ding-dong politicians talk this way; it’s treasonous.

If they attempt to pack the Supreme Court, all someone has to do is take it to court and appeal it up to SCOTUS. Ultimately they’ll decide. We need to be worried about people like this because they’re a direct threat to our freedoms and the Constitution.

We have many more distressing issues to address as a nation. First is our 39 trillion dollar debt. This is the greatest threat to our national security, and it’s not even close. The Marxist capture of our social and political institutions is a close second, and the migration of Islam into Western democracies is third. It’s a shit show, and Pete Buttigieg sure isn’t the guy who will do anything about any of it. Also, the crime in urban cities remains out of control; this much I know.

Mayor Pete frequently notes that expanding the Supreme Court doesn't require a constitutional amendment. Speaking at the first Rainbow PUSH Coalition convention since the death of Rev. Jesse Jackson, he declared:

"We have to do [something] with the Supreme Court, that is now a rogue Supreme Court. To see them eviscerate the Voting Rights Act is to see them reverse some of the most important progress this country ever made, wiping out Black political representation, but also wiping out part of what actually is great within the complex American story."

He extended his remarks, adding:

"Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that there have to be nine Supreme Court justices. That one doesn't even take a constitutional amendment, … It just takes a readiness to set up a court that fits this country. We could have 13 seats matching the district structure of the federal judiciary, but also a process that makes it less partisan."
Why do Democrats always think they need to be something they’re not, to appeal to more Americans? That inauthenticity is just one of the MANY reasons why so many people don’t trust them, and why they must resort to ‘creating’ votes.

Why do we have to listen to this loser? Any fool can get up and say whatever garbage comes into their head, and nobody stops them. This is a prime example of it. I know, I contend to be any fool.

It's scary that Pete Buttigieg is running because I can see all those who belong to the LGBTQ, etc., community will vote for him. Rather than think about his political record and what he has actually accomplished, including his yearning to pack the Supreme Court. But circling zero support in the black liberal community gives me some hope he will never become President.

I still find it interesting that Buttigieg was Mayor of South Bend over (pun intended) - interesting. It was also Mayor Pete who had his protection detail drive their gas-guzzler SUVs into DC with his bike in the back. He was dropped off a couple blocks away from his office. He made sure the press was down the road to cover his historic bike ride, showing he is fully committed to being environmentally friendly. He's such a fraud! Did he ever visit Palestine where that train had a chemical catastrophe? These are just two of his many FAILURES as Transportation Secretary.

Buttigieg is like the lot of extreme left progressive democrats. Today’s “progressives” want to bring back segregation, reduce the human population, control future population growth, reduce fresh water sources, reduce the use of petroleum products, reduce the ability for travel for common people, no one will own anything, put the W.H.O. in charge of medical and health “emergencies”, keep educational standards low. Honestly, they seem rather regressive to me, not progressive.

Gay or not, this guy SUCKS, and was worthless in the positions he held. On the down-low, South Bend, Indiana was GLAD TO GET RID OF HIM! He can waste a ton of money. In Indiana, Pete is known as “Pothole Pete,” and then he became the secretary of transportation. Make that make sense! The man is just a lot of talk but NO action. So we should pay $1.2 million more annually for four justices so democrats can get their way on every matter.

The only thing worse than an idiot is an idiot who thinks he’s an intellectual.

Unfortunately for him, he has a track record, and it is abysmal.

What Buttigieg considers a functioning Congress ignores the majority of voters and submits to the dictatorship of the Democrats. His best route to that goal is to continue the Democrats’ tradition of election fraud. They create all these rules and laws to benefit themselves and want to do away with them as soon as the Republicans use the same rules/laws.

Democrats can never hold the presidency ever again. The last 12 years they were in power have destroyed our way of government freedom. The 4 years that Trump was in office, the first term, they did nothing but impeachments and slurs and even tried to undermine him with plants in his administration like Pence and a few others.

Electing these people is like putting children in charge of this country. Stop putting incompetent people in charge of things they know nothing about, man. Taking an economics class at some woke college does not make you a mayor or presidential material. Start teaching these kids how to survive in the real world and stop scamming them into lifelong debt. But this, as a consideration, may make too much sense.
